‘In our nation’s 246 year history there has never been an individual who is a greater threat to our Republic than Donald Trump’

That was former Republican Vice President Dick Cheney talking about Donald Trump in a campaign ad for his daughter, Rep. Liz Cheney, who is up for re-election in Wyoming.

In the campaign spot entitled “He Knows It,” Dick Cheney goes on to say that former President Trump, “tried to steal the last election using lies and violence to keep himself in power after the voters had rejected him.”

The viral video also shows Dick Cheney praising his daughter’s role as the chairwoman of the Jan. 6 Committee hearings. The bipartisan House committee has been investigating the insurrection on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, and presenting evidence that Trump and his supporters knew that he lost the 2020 election, but helped incite the riot at the Capitol complex while Congress was meeting to certify Joe Biden’s electoral victory.

“He lost his election, and he lost big. I know it, he knows it and, deep down, I think most Republicans know it,” Dick Cheney says in the ad.

He even says that, “There is nothing more important [Liz Cheney] will ever do than lead the effort to make sure Donald Trump is never again near the Oval Office again.”
