The outage appears to have started shortly before 8:00 a.m., according to downdetector.com. Shares were slightly higher premarket, but are down 15% in the year to date amid a battle between Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk and company management following a takeover offer from Musk, while the S&P 500 has fallen 20%.
