Here’s what you might have missed, and what to watch for in the coming months (and years):

‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’

Chadwick Boseman died in 2020, but Ryan Coogler’s massive superhero hit “Black Panther” returns for a sequel coming Nov. 11. Set to a stirring musical mashup featuring Tems covering Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” sliding into Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright,” the teaser picks up in the aftermath of  T’Challa’s death and balances stirring emotions with hints of furious action.

Disney also announced the next phases of the MCU, with Phase 5 kicking off with “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and ending with “Thunderbolts” in July 2024. That phase will include the third and final “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie on May 5, 2023; a “Blade” reboot Nov. 3, 2023; and “Captain America and the New World Order,” featuring Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson, on May 3, 2024. Phase 6 will include a long-awaited “Fantastic Four” movie in November 2024 and conclude with two movies, “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty,” set for May 2, 2025, followed by “Avengers: Secret Wars,” on Nov. 7, 2025.

‘Black Adam’ and a ‘Shazam!’ sequel

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson stars as a superhero with god-like powers in the DC Comics adaptation of “Black Adam,” coming Oct. 21. Warner Bros. unveiled another DC movie, the sequel “Shazam! Fury of the Gods,” starring Zachary Levi and Lucy Liu, which will hit theaters Dec. 21.

‘John Wick 4’

Fans got their first look at Keanu Reeves returning as the hitman who can’t help but kill a whole lot of people, coming March 24, 2023.

‘Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’

Amazon’s Prime Video is set to release Season 1 of this eight-episode, epic “Lord of the Rings” prequel Sept. 2. With a second season already planned and an overall price tag (including licensing rights) reportedly topping $1 billion, this is set to be the most expensive TV production ever.

‘House of the Dragon’

HBO’s “Game of Thrones” sequel series “House of the Dragon,” set to premiere Aug. 21, got a final trailer, featuring some serious dragon-doings.
