In this matter, LinkedIn said, “We are investigating this matter. Preliminary investigation has revealed that information has been stolen from LinkedIn as well as some other sources. This is not the theft of LinkedIn data and our investigation has shown that no private LinkedIn member’s data has been stolen. We are continuously working to ensure that there is no harm to the privacy of the users.”

Data being sold on the dark web
Let us tell you that all the data stolen from LinkedIn’s site is currently being sold on the dark web. It includes data of about 70 crore people. The hacker has posted the data of about one million users for sale as a sample. This data posted on the dark web was first acquired by Restore Privacy. These sample data have also been verified by 9to5Google.
