A data entry supervisor is a person who directs the activities of a moderate size data entry and control section. He or she plans and assigns work to ensure a smooth flow of work within the organizational unit.

1. Please elaborate about your educational qualifications, experience and skills?

I have 2 years experience of supervising data entry operations by utilizing key-to-disk hardware. I have exceptional knowledge of operations related to this job, high level data entry languages, and office practices. I have excellent ability to operate various machines with speed and accuracy, plan, assign and train work of operators, and perform clerical operations.

2. What are the duties of people who are at this position?

People who are at this position are responsible for preparing production schedules, ensuring smooth flow of work, and maintaining records of attendance. He or she interviews prospective employees, operates data entry machines on special and difficult jobs, and develops new methods and procedures. He or she performs all the supervisory functions and monitors performance of remote terminals.

3. We have met several candidates. Why are you the one we should hire?

Demonstrate your accomplishments in front of the interviewer. One has to tell reasons as to why he fits into this position. Think of all the positive traits in your personality that makes you suitable for the job. You have to tell how your studies, skills, experience and personal qualities will contribute to the work of the organization.

4. Have you ever had to work closely with a person you did not get along with? How did you handle the situation?

The interviewer wants to hear that you were able to put aside your differences and get the work done. They also want to hear that you are flexible, and can be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others. Quote suitable examples, and tell how you learned to get along with the various people in the previous company.

5. Would you like to ask any question?

You should prepare question in advance for the interviewer. If you will ask questions from the interviewer then he will think that you are genuinely interested in the company.
