A Third Party Review of the Pampered Chef Biz – Is it Worth It?

What is Pampered Chef?

A kitchenware business started in 1980 by a women named Doris Christopher. Pampered Chef is now a multimillion dollar corporation that spans the United States, Canada, Germany and the United Kingdom and have since been able to attract famous billionaire Warren Buffet who is considered one of the most successful business men in history and is the primary shareholder and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, being crowned the richest man of 2009 until his massive donation to charity giving away billions ranking him the second richest man in he world behind Bill Gates with a Net Worth of $40 billion.

In 2002 the Pampered Chef biz was sold to Berkshire Hathaway due to its inability to keep pace with changing standards in the industry and to this day is performing among the top MLM Companies.

And their products?

One of the most important aspects to take into consideration when wanting to join the Pampered Chef Opportunity is their products, and I’ll explain why later on in this review. Pampered Chef sells a range of kitchenware products ranging from a vast set of knives to different array of peelers, everything to make your cooking experience that much better, easier and enjoyable. Since the addition of Berkshire Hathaway, Pampered Chef has now extended its product range to home cooking recipes, special gift sets and gift certificates.

So Are they legit and how does their business opportunity work?

The Pampered Chef opportunity is most certainly legit and very unique in its own way, as the compensation plan is far different to any of the usual multi-level marketing compensation plans that most multi-level marketing companies have.

Unlike most MLM companies, with Pampered Chef it is mandatory that you hold house parties, as it is the only to make money. So going back to what I said previously about the importance of their product range, as you can only make money by holding house parties, you are required to cook in front of an audience to show off the functionality and versatility of the Pampered Chef product range.

The recipes to be made are picked by the hostess during which you as the ‘chef’ must then cook and explain how the different tools function and what makes them so versatile. Once cooked, whilst the guest have a taster the ‘chef’ has a chance to collect orders, book parties and answer questions. You then make a percentage of sales made at the party, and a percentage of the sales made by those you recruited to your business opportunity.

As part of joining them, for a fixed price Pampered Chef provides Consultant kits that are high-quality and provide multifunctional products, catalogs, training materials, business management software, professional business supplies to market your business, and a tote to easily carry products and catalogs to and from Shows. They have two Consultants Kits available, one being priced at $65 with a value of $200 and the other kit being $155 with a value of $570.

Should I join the Pampered Chef biz?

This depends solely on you and whether you’re passionate about cooking and feel the products Pampered Chef provides are of a good standard. The downside is you’ll have to lug around all your cooking tools and recipes to parties and the higher you move up in your company the less money you make from people you recruit under you.

So the best way to make money is to sell, sell and sell!

If you’re looking to make an income from building your business downline and advancing in the company then Pampered Chef is not the opportunity for you. On the other hand, if you like to make an income from direct selling, and through increase of commissions paid by recruiting people and producing large sales on a monthly basis then it might just be what you’re looking for.
