Disney extends CEO Chapek's contract three years

plans to restrict new political advertisements in the week leading up to the U.S. midterm elections. The company won’t accept the publishing of new ads about social issues, elections, or politics from Nov. 1 to Nov. 8, and it will block “most edits” on advertisements. “We are putting this restriction period in place again because we found that the restriction period achieves the right balance of giving campaigns a voice while providing additional time for scrutiny of political ads in the Ad Library,” the company said in a Tuesday blog post. Meta will allow candidates or other parties to run ads as long as they obtained at least one impression prior to the restriction window.
