Stocks ended mostly lower Thursday as tech shares suffered a further selloff after disappointing results from Meta Platforms Inc.

though the Dow Jones Industrial Average notched its fifth straight winning session after upbeat results from several components and a better-than-expected reading on second-quarter gross domestic product. The Dow
DJIA,
rose around 197 points, or 0.6%, to close near 32,037, according to preliminary figures, while the S&P 500
SPX,
fell 0.6% and the Nasdaq Composite
COMP,
shed 1.6%.
