Coming up: U.S. jobs report for October

The U.S. is forecast to add 205,000 new jobs in October, according to economists polled by The Wall Street Journal. The unemployment rate is expected to stay at 3.5%. Wages are forecast to rise a modest 0.3%, lowering the increase over the past 12 months to 4.7% from 5%.

The report will be released at 8:30 a.m. Eastern by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Market reaction: The Dow Jones Industrial Average

were set to open higher in Friday trades. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note BX:TMUBMUSD10Y rose slightly to 4.6%.
