That was podcast host and UFC commentator Joe Rogan talking about interviewing former U.S. President Donald Trump on his show “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
Rogan says he has turned down the opportunity to have Trump as a guest on his massively popular Spotify

podcast several times. Rogan added that he is “not a Trump supporter in any way, shape, or form.”
The podcast host made these statements on a recent episode of Lex Fridman’s self-titled podcast that was released on the Fourth of July. Rogan later added he believes the Trump era marked “one of the weirder times of when people look back at division in this country.”

During the nearly two-hour podcast, Rogan was also highly critical of current President Joe Biden, accusing him of “rambling” during a recent television appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
“If he was anyone else, if he was a Republican — if that was Donald Trump doing that, every f—ing talk show would be screaming for him to be off-air,” Rogan said.
The office of former President Trump did not respond to MarketWatch’s request for comment on this story.

In 2020, audio streaming giant Spotify inked Rogan to a massive exclusive contract that could be worth north of $200 million, the New York Times

Rogan described his political voting history in 2020: “I’ve never voted right-wing in my life. I voted Democrat, I voted Independent. I’m not right-wing at all.” He supported Bernie Sanders’s presidential nomination in the past, and recently said Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a Republican, would “work as a good president.”
The words about Trump from Rogan may not go over well with some of his podcast fans. Of his self-described “avid” listeners, 46% identify as Republican and 23% identify as Democratic, according to a Morning Consult poll.

The poll took responses from 4,420 U.S. adults and was conducted in March 2022.
Rogan has come under scrutiny in recent years over accusations he spread misinformation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, video surfaced in 2022 that Rogan used racial slurs in clips of podcast episodes over a 12-year span.
