YouTube's exclusive PiP feature will soon be available on iPhone and iPad too!  know the details
New Delhi. If you use iPhone or iPad then there is good news for you. YouTube’s picture-in-picture (PiP) mode, which until now was only supported on Android devices. Soon this feature is expected to be rolled out to the iPhone as well as the iPad. Picture-in-picture mode allows users to continue watching videos even when the app is minimized.

According to a report in The Verge, YouTube says that this feature will be available only for iOS users who have a YouTube Premium subscription. But the company plans to expand PiP support to all iPhone users in the US soon. Picture-in-picture support at the operating system level was first introduced on the iPad with the iOS 9 update.

What is special about this feature
YouTube said in a statement that picture-in-picture allows users to watch YouTube videos in a small mini player while browsing outside the YouTube app on their mobile devices. YouTube says that we are launching PiP for YouTube Premium members on iOS and plan to launch PiP for all US iOS users as well.

Loop video feature coming soon
Here Android users will also soon be able to play YouTube video loops in their mobiles. Till now a single video loop could be viewed on desktop. This feature is specially used while listening to music where the user does not want to press the replay button all the time for his favorite song. Along with this, it has been said that soon the clip video feature will also be added.
