After Airtel, Jio starts 5G trial in Mumbai, big announcements will be made on June 24
Airtel has recently started 5G trials in Gurugram and it seems that even Reliance Jio does not want to be left behind. The company has reportedly started 5G trials in Mumbai. A report has claimed that the company is using self-developed technology for this trial. Let us tell you that the company had recently applied to start 5G trials in Mumbai as well as Delhi, Hyderabad and Gujarat and it seems that the company has got approval for Mumbai.

techradar’s report good It is being said that Reliance Jio is testing 5G in Mumbai and domestic technology is being used for this trial. Even though the company is using in-house technology for the Mumbai trial, but according to the report, the company has joined hands with Ericsson and Nokia for 5G trials in Delhi and Pune respectively. Apart from this, in Gujarat, the company is planning to start 5G trials with Samsung.

DoT had provided 700 MHz, 3.2 GHz to 3.6 GHz and 24.25 GHz to 28.5 GHz bands for 5G trials to Jio, Airtel and Vi (Vodafone Idea). In May 2021, the department allowed all telecom operators to conduct trials for six months to introduce 5G technology in India, after which these companies are gradually starting the process of trial. Airtel has recently started 5G trial in Gurugram.

In Mumbai, the company is going to use both mid and mmwave bands along with its 5G infrastructure. Earlier this year, the company revealed that it has developed a 5G radio that will provide users with up to 1Gbps of high-speed internet in conjunction with Jio’s 5G smartphone, a technology developed by the company.

Jio is organizing its annual meeting AGM on June 24, in which we can get to hear big announcements regarding 5G. In this meeting, some announcements can also be made regarding the 5G feature being developed by the company and ‘affordable’ 5G smartphone.
