Graphology for Self-help – Reversing the Flow
There are known to be many physical actions which calm the mind and help to balance the character. A walk, ride or gardening refreshes the brain during a long spell of intensive study, and deep breathing has a steadying effect on an anxious mind. There are many other instances of psycho-physical effect, and graphology has a large part to play in this process.
Self-help starts with the recognition of an unwanted feature in the writing, and the wish to disassociate oneself from it. With the help of graphology you can remove unwanted personality characteristics and replace them with positive ones. Graphologists carry out this by changing certain strokes in your handwriting after a detailed personality analysis.
A) Graphology for Understanding Teenagers
It is sometimes difficult to interpret the behaviour of young people from their actions or comments. For reasons often based on their own unhappy experiences with parents or teachers, they may think that to reveal their true feelings will be to risk ridicule or punishment.
Many teenage problems are due to unfortunate personality combinations at home. Children are not able to choose their cohabitees, and usually have very little chance of parting from them. An extroverted child in a generally introverted family may appear to be the odd man out, and may question or dislike his own character; still more so the introverted child in a generally extroverted family. Similar clashes are likely to occur at school, and it is possible that one unsympathetic teacher could blight a personality and a future.
Mental disorders requiring trained psychiatric help are fortunately rare among young people under twenty years old, and the use of graphology with teenagers is very gratifying. They can probably be helped best by consistently positive attitudes: once they have learned to recognize their own strengths, they may easily notice and appreciate the different gifts of their friends and families, and may come to feel safe in asking for help with their difficulties.
Many so-called problems arise from unused talent. Much of graphology’s power lies in the detection of tendency and potential of the teenagers. And the teenage years may be the most satisfying of all in which to put it to work.
B) Graphology for Choosing a Career
Career officers or school careers teachers place stress on aptitude and ability when advising young people. Unfortunately greater difficulties lie ahead for them than ever before: they must be slightly over-qualified academically for what they want to pursue, and must then project themselves outstandingly during an interview.
Even when they are fortunate enough to be selected for further education, and diligent enough to gain their specialized qualification, they must prepare themselves for a further stint of self-justification and self-projection.
It is unlikely that their parents suffered to the same extent, though their grandparents may well have done. Choosing a career today could more aptly be called, ‘Finding paid employment’. Graphology can assist in this gloomy situation in two ways; firstly by finding positive qualities in the writing, and secondly through the analysis of bias patterns.
