5 Steps to Your Own Internet Money Making Business

Posted on

If you want to create your own internet money making business without too much expense, one of the easiest and quickest ways to start out is to become an affiliate marketer and sell other people’s products for a share of the profits. Once you are established, you will be in a strong position to create your own products – you will know what people want to buy and you will know how to sell it to them. Follow these 5 steps to making money online:

Step One

Choose your niche or market. This needs to be an area in which people are searching for products, preferably digital products which will provide a solution to a pressing problem. So you are looking for a niche in which people are willing to spend money because they really want an answer to their need, whether it’s getting out of debt, writing a college assignment or house training their new puppy.

It is helpful if you either know something about the subject or at least have an interest in learning about it. You don’t need to be an expert to start out, but you should aim to become one as you establish your business.

Step Two

Once you’ve decided which field you wish to work in, you need to make sure that there are digital products which are associated with affiliate programs, that the commission is worth working for – look for at least $20 per sale, and that people are actually buying the products. You can do this by checking the number of pay per click advertisements on Google for the relevant keywords and the approximate cost per click. You can do this using the Google keyword tool

It is also a good idea to choose products which provide the potential for ongoing profits, either through back end sales or for a monthly membership. So check to see if the merchant is selling more than one product.

Step Three

Set up a website or blog to attract visitors to your promotions. A squeeze page will enable you to build a list and continue to market to your prospects. For this you will need your own website and an autoresponder. If funds are tight, you can start out with a free blogger or wordpress blog and sprinkle your affiliate links through product reviews and helpful articles.

Step Four

Drive traffic to your website or blog by using article marketing, pay per click advertising or sites such as Squidoo or Hubpages. If you have the skills and the software you can also create videos to post on YouTube and other video sites. If you are able to, creating your own software products is another good way to attract visitors. If not, answering questions on sites such as Yahoo Answers or in forums is another way to get your site out there amongst relevant online communities.

Step Five

Once you know what works and what doesn’t, put your knowledge to good use and start creating and selling your own products.
