Twitter users will now be able to sign in to their account with Google, know everything
New Delhi. Many apps allow users to log in through their Google accounts to save the time and effort of signing up manually. However, this feature was not in the micro-blogging site Twitter. Reverse engineer Jen Wong has found that Twitter is considering enabling Google Sign-in on its app. Wong shared a screenshot of the feature on his Twitter, which shows an additional Continue with Goog button in addition to sign up and login.

When for all, it’s not clear
This button will allow users to link their Google account to an existing Twitter account or create a new account or log into Twitter with the same details as the Google account. It is not known when this feature will be made live for all users. While this is a more convenient way to sign in to services and apps, it does have its drawbacks with linking your Google Account. For example, in a scenario where your Google Account is compromised, the attacker would have access to multiple services or apps.

Ravi Shankar Prasad said – Twitter failed to follow the rules
Recently, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had said, “Many questions are being raised whether Twitter is entitled to legal protection in India? The simple fact of the matter is that Twitter has failed to comply with the new IT laws that came into force from May 26.

Twitter has got this legal protection under Section 79 of the IT Act. This section exempts Twitter from any legal action, defamation or fine.
