Reliance will launch cheap 4G phone running on Android, know everything

Reliance has announced JioPhone Next at its AGM 2021. This company will be an affordable 4G smartphone, which will target the middle class customers. Along with this, many more announcements have been made in the RIL AGM 2021 virtual event held on Thursday. The new phone has been developed in collaboration with Google and will come with a highly customized version of the Android operating system. JioPhone Next will also include Google Play Store access and voice assistant along with automatic read of screen text and translation in different languages.

Mukesh Ambani at the Reliance AGM said that around 300 million (300 million) mobile users in India are still not able to move beyond 2G service, as even the cheapest 4G phone in the country is still not cheap. He says that he and Google CEO Sundar Pichai together decided to make the next generation 4G phone, which is also cheaper. Even though the company has not yet disclosed the features and specifications of this phone, but has made it so clear that JioPhone Next will be launched in India on Ganesh Chaturthi i.e. September 10. At present, its price has not been disclosed. It is being said that this will be the cheapest 4G phone not only in India but in the whole world.

JioPhone Next is made for those who want to upgrade from 2G to 4G connectivity with an affordable smartphone. The new offering is based on a custom Android operating system, specially designed by Google for Jio. The smartphone will come preloaded with a voice assistant and will also have the ability to read screen text. Apart from this, it will also bring translation feature in different languages. Its camera will be equipped with AR. Since the phone has been prepared in collaboration with Google, it will also get the latest updates of Android from time to time.

This is not the first time that Jio is bringing home handsets for its customers. In July 2017, the telecom company introduced Jio Phone as its smart feature phone with 4G connectivity. That model was also upgraded with the launch of Jio Phone 2 in 2018. However, the phone came with a QWERTY keyboard and the new phone will come with a full touch screen.
