How to turn on/off Zoom audio notifications
Users can turn on or off audio notifications as per their convenience. This can be done before the call starts or during the meeting. When a user joins a meeting, even after turning off notifications, you receive an audio prompt. This feature comes in handy when the user is waiting for someone and is also doing other tasks in between. It acts as an audio tune alert. This is even more beneficial when you are not looking at the screen.
Follow the steps given below to turn on/off notifications on Zoom.
If you’ve logged into your Zoom account from a web browser, click Settings in the left-hand column. If you have logged in from Zoom app then proceed in this order- Profile icon > Select Settings > View more settings View
Now in Settings, at the bottom of the left column, click on In Meeting (Basic) and scroll down. Look for the option labeled ‘Voice notification when someone joins or leaves’ here. You can select it to be on or off.
Here you will see three options. The first option will have a notification sound for each participant, the second will have a notification option for the host and co-host, and the third will have the option to record the user’s voice for notifications. This last option is only for participants who connect by phone.
