Facebook launches clubhouse-like feature, will get live audio room and podcast, know everything
New Delhi. Social media company Facebook has launched a clubhouse-like live audio room and podcast on its platform. Clubhouse, an invite-only live audio app, has been a huge success over the past year. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has also appeared on this app. Facebook says it wants to make audio a better medium on its platform. Earlier, micro-blogging site Twitter and messaging platform Discord have started their live audio segment. Microsoft-owned LinkedIn and Reddit may also launch such products soon.

Speaker 50 No restriction on number of listeners
Popular celebrities and some Facebook groups in the US will be able to create Live Audio Rooms using iOS. There will be a maximum of 50 speakers and there will be no restriction on the number of listeners. Facebook said users will also be able to invite people who don’t have a verified badge to speak. Select podcasts will also be made available on Facebook for US listeners. Clubhouse users are also in India. Recently, during the West Bengal Assembly elections, the clubhouse session of Prashant Kishor, who is considered an expert in electoral strategies, came into the limelight.

Overwhelming response to Club House in India
Audio-chat based social networking app Clubhouse India is getting tremendous response. Clubhouse India was launched on May 21 on Android. Within five days of its launch i.e. till May 25, there were 1.03 lakh downloads from Google Playstore and if the downloads of iOS are also added, then this number is more than two lakhs. At the same time, in the latest update, it has got more than 50 lakh downloads in India within 30 days, while it now has more than 20 lakh active users in India. Craig Chappelle, Mobile Insight strategist at Sensor Tower, told CNBC-TV18 that Clubhouse has already received 25.5 million downloads worldwide. “India ranks as the number 1 country on Google Play following the launch of the app, which has so far achieved 5.7 million installs.
