In the world of shifter kart racing, CRG is world-renowned. Even so, it was not always like that. When the founders started CRG, it was originally known as Kali Kart. Carlo Vanaria, Roberto Vanaria and Giancarlo Tinini created the company in the 1970’s, under the Kali Kart name. Kali Kart was not really recognized in the world of Go Kart Racing prior to the 1980’s, nonetheless. It was at about that period that Kali Karts started producing World Champions. One of those winners was a famous go-kart racer named Mike Wilson.
The Name Change:
The actual basis for the changing of the company name from Kali Karts to CRG is not entirely understood. It’s assumed that the leaders wanted to create a new reputation for the business, though. Just what is clearly understood is precisely why they opted for the name CRG.

• G – Giancarlo
Though it might not have been the most imaginative name change, the business has proven itself to be very inventive, generally speaking. An example of those imaginative moves was to join forces with Dino Chiesa, one of the best chassis mechanics in the world of shifter kart racing. That team work has proven to be quite valuable to CRG.
15 World Championships:
Last year, CRG took home its 15th World Championship win, which cemented them in to the racing history books. The former Kali Kart Team became the racing organization with the most shifter kart race championships on earth by that time. Having said that, they did not stop at that point.
New Developments:
The geniuses at CRG are always moving to build newer and better shifter karts. In 2010 they accomplished this, releasing the Supra Kart chassis models. The Supra Kart line was created with convenience as their intended purpose. CRG knows that there are many different go kart racers in existence and has tried to design the Supra line to suit the entire group. For example:
• Supra Karts are affordable in comparison to other chassis models.
• Supra Kart chassis models were desined for both junior and senior racers
• Supra Kart chassis models support both 2 and 4 cycle engines
So, it is obvious that CRG is here to stay. Although the name has varied, the enhancements and trophy ceremonies have kept on happening. CRG is obviously uncovering new and interesting improvements to help keep go-kart racers and fans happy.
