Delhi Police has received a complaint against actress Swara Bhaskar, Twitter India MD Manish Maheshwari and others. The complaint pertains to an attack on an elderly Muslim man in connection with a social media post in Ghaziabad on June 5.

Police said that the complaint was received at Tilak Marg police station. A senior police officer said, “We have received a complaint against Swara Bhaskar, Manish Maheshwari (MD Twitter) and others at Tilak Marg police station. It is being verified.”

In a video uploaded on social media, an elderly Muslim man has accused four people in Loni area of ​​Ghaziabad. In the allegation, the old man had talked about beating, cutting beard and forcibly saying Jai Shri Ram. The Uttar Pradesh Police has registered an FIR against Twitter, Twitter Communications India, news portal The Wire, journalists Mohammad Zubair and Rana Ayyub and senior journalist and writer Saba Naqvi. Apart from this, an FIR has also been registered against Congress leaders Salman Nizami, Muskoor Usmani and Sama Mohammed. All these FIRs have been registered for sharing video clips on social media.
